  • Comment: The ship Recherche with La Billardiere landed at Esperance. The ship Uranie with Gaudichaud landed at Shark Bay (Ducker 1979). The Uranie then sailed to Timor, then north of New Guinea to Guam (Marchant 1982 'France Australe' Artlook Books:Perth). The Admiralty Isles are presumably those in the Bismarck Archipelago.
