Type locality:
Holotype: MELU K 9465, cystocarpic (G.T. Kraft & R.W. Ricker, 4 December 1978) (Fig. 14). Type Locality: North passage, Lord Howe IIsland, N.S.W. (Fig. 1), (31° 31'S, 159° 04'E), the collection made at 5 m depth under a coral overhang.
