• Comment: This taxon is the type of Annulina. Van den Hoek 1963 'Revision of the European species of Cladophora' p. 162 discussed the type material from the Dillenius herbariumin OXF. This material is considered a voucher for the lectotype (see Spencer et al 2009:243).
