Comment: This taxon is known to occur in freshwater (Entwisle et al 1997 "Freshwater Algae in Australia" p.106) This taxon was noted as an incorrect identification of material from S.A. but Womersley 1956:360 did not say to which marine taxon the specimens belonged.
