Comment:This taxon not found in Australia. The taxon is listed in the database since it is the type of a genus. Index Nominum Genericorum p. 32 indicates that this is a new name for Conferva aegagroila Linnaeus ( this latter name is discussed by Silva et al 1996 Univ Calif Public Bot. 79:768).
