  • Comment: This name represents the protologue of P. repandum (see Wilks & Woelkerling (1994) Aust. Syst. Bot. 7(3):190. It is not an illegitimate name, but Foslie did not use the form name when he raised this form to a species. Type is illustrated in Printz (1929) M. Foslie. Contributions to a monograph of the Lithothamnia with 75 plates after the authors death collected and edited by Henrik Printz pl. 1, fig. 10.
