  • Comment: R.Cowan pers. comm. 2017: On p. 205 of Phyc Gen Kutzing is indicating that he is in agreement that there is a taxon Nostoc pruniforme Agardh but he believes that the entity described by Frohlich and Suhr is different. Kutzing is saying he is going to propose the name Heteractis pruniformis for the taxon described by Grohlich and Suhr which he does on page 236. However the genus Heteractis had already been used by De Candolle and so is not available. There is also the problem of this taxon being in a group which has a later starting date under ART 13 ICN. Heteractis pruniformis was also synonymised with Rivularia bullata before that the starting date for bluegreens under Art. 13 ICN.
