Comment:K&S p 132 state 'Under this name Daday (1888) figured an organism from the Gulf of Naples which has no apparent affinities with the genus Amphidinium. Later Schroeder 1911:616, 650 fig 14 figures another organism as A aculeatum nov spec which is not Daday and not the one earlier accepted by Schroeder (1900).
