Comment: This is a new name for the protologue Conferva flexuosa Roth non O. Mueller. I have included the specimens from Tasmania, cited by Agardh in the distribution statement since they form part of the original material of Enteromorpha lingulata. These records have not been studied using recent taxonomic ideas. -
